Intern Marketing Project |
Intouch Solutions

As the 2016 summer planning intern, I was part of an eight-person intern team. Our assignment was to concept a digital solution to help kids with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) adhere to treatment. As a team, we conceptualized an app using Google Cardboard to help kids receive injections and continue physical therapy. Our idea used virtual reality to help distract kids from the medication injection pain. It then used augmented reality to gamify physical therapy exercises. For this project I contributed research and insights about kids with JIA and helped build out content for the presentation. After we presented our idea, Intouch later presented it to a client.

The full presentation is not available online.

Fair Trade at Northwestern |
Form & Function Marketing

One of my clients for Form & Function Marketing, a student-marketing group, was the club Fair Trade at Northwestern. The client project was to build communication materials for them, including a website and social media accounts with content. For this project I led an eight-person team to design the website content, website layout and social media content.

Hungry | North by Northwestern

Hungry was a month-long project I led while as features editor for North by Northwestern, and it commemorates the 20th anniversary of Northwestern's Asian American Studies Program. It was pitched to me by two of my writers and then became a section-wide project. For this project I worked with four departments: Features, Interactive, Managing and Photo. I oversaw everything from design to research. I edited my writer's stories and made sure the project was completed by deadline.  The final product was a landing page where for three days new stories would be added to complete the final product on the day of the anniversary's celebration event.

Graduated and Homeless |
North by Northwestern

Graduated and Homeless was also completed while I was features editor of North by Northwestern. A writer pitched me a story idea about a Northwestern alum who was homeless. I worked with the writer, Interactive team and Photo team. Together we were able to create an interactive story using photo, audio, and text- all while in a beautiful template.

Gameday | North by Northwestern

Gameday was a project to describe the Northwestern football experience. The sports editor of North by Northwestern at the time led it. I contributed to this project by writing the Parent Tailgate and taking photos for my piece. The project placed 19th nationally in the Hearst Foundation Journalism Awards multimedia team category.
