Professional Bio

Working toward her journalism and marketing career in high school, Elizabeth Santoro restarted her school's paper and won runner-up in the 2013 Best and Brightest in Journalism for Leon County. Now at Northwestern University, Elizabeth has been on the Dean's List twice, served as a section editor and managing editor for student publication North by Northwestern’s website, served as an account executive for Form & Function Marketing, a student-run marketing group, and presented time management workshops for students as a NULearn workshop leader. She was an editorial intern at the magazine NewBeauty, a corporate intern at the TV station WTXL-ABC27, and a planning intern for Intouch Solutions, a pharmaceutical digital marketing agency.

 

From her experience, Elizabeth has developed her analytical, problem solving skills to complete projects, developed interpersonal communication skills, and improved her writing and research abilities. She is able to work with others toward a common goal and time manages effectively. 

 

After working in web, magazine and broadcast, Elizabeth wants to use her journalism background to develop a career in marketing. She is interested in strategy work for brands and marketing projects. Overall, she wants her work to make a positive impact on the lives it affects.
